Всемирная федерация профсоюзов обращается c братским приветствием ко всем работающим женщинам и мужчинам во всем мире. 1 мая это день, который напоминает нам о нашей незаменимой социальной роли в производстве всех богатств в мире. 1 мая это день, который напоминает нам о непобедимой силе, которую может дать нам классовое единство, чтобы изменить мир в соответствии с нашими потребностями и возможностями. Мир процветания, мира и братской солидарности. Единственным препятствием на пути этого прогресса является паразитическая деятельность монополий.

Безработица растет непрерывно.
1 из 6 человек во всем мире не имеют доступа к адекватной питьевой воды.
Более 100 миллионов человек остались без крова. Миллионы людей живут в трущобах. Сотни миллионов людей обеспечены жильем на условиях аренды или выплачивают кредиты невыносимо долго, чтобы получить свой собственный дом.
920 000 000 людей остаются неграмотными.
8,1 млн. детей умерло в 2009 году, не достигнув пяти лет.
Каждый год около 2,1 миллионов людей во всем мире умирают от инфекционных заболеваний.
Права работников на достаточную основную заработную плату, социальное обеспечение, бесплатные и качественные государственные услуги (образование, здравоохранение, транспорт, электричество) подрываются и атакуются.
Свобода ассоциаций и профсоюзные свобод в целом подвергаются нападениям.
Профсоюзных активистов убивают, заключают в тюрьмы, увольняют.

MAY DAY DECLARATION 2012: Wealth belongs to those who produce it
The World Federation of Trade Unions addresses a fraternal salutation to all working women and men around the world. The 1st of May is the day that reminds us of our irreplaceable social role in the production of all the wealth in the world. The 1st of May is the day that reminds us of the invincible power, that class unity can provide us with, to change the world according to our needs and abilities. A world of prosperity, peace and fraternal solidarity. The only obstacle standing in the way of this progress is the parasitic activity of the monopolies. The predatory exploitation of the wealth-producing resources for their own profiting in burden of the peoples and the environment.
In times of capitalist crises, especially at a deep and synchronized one as the one we are facing nowadays, their inter-imperialist rivalries intensify, their lust for more spheres of influence, control over the wealth-producing resources, larger markets and cheaper labour force is splashing. They get more ruthless in the course of competition. The fire of imperialist wars and conflicts caused by the imperialist interventions is spreading. The intercapitalist rivalries give birth to wars and conflicts.
The impact in the peoples’ lives is dramatic:
16% of the total population is undernourished.
Unemployment rises continuously.
1 out of 6 people worldwide do not have access to adequate clean water.
More than 100 million people are homeless. Millions live in slums. Hundreds of millions of people live on rent or have to pay unbearable house loans in order to get their own home.
920 million people remain illiterate.
8,1 million children died in 2009 before reaching five years of age.
Each year about 2,1 million people around the world die from vaccine-preventable diseases.
The workers’ rights in decent basic salary, social security, free and qualitative public services (education, healthcare, transport, electricity) are being undermined and attacked.
The freedom of association and the trade union freedoms in general are being attacked.
Trade unionists are murdered, imprisoned, fired.
On the contrary, the capitalist profits rise or remain defiantly high.
In 2010 amidst the capitalist crisis, the 50 more profitable companies earned profits more than 715 billion dollars.
This reality forces us, the workers of the world, into coiling and militant counterattack against the capitalist exploitation and barbarity for the fulfillment of the contemporary basic needs and a world without exploitation of man-by-man.
On the 3rd of October 2012, the International Action Day 2012, we will struggle side by side with strikes, demonstrations, mobilizations, activities in dozens of countries of the five continents to end the multinationals’ predatory exploitation, to demand our right in Food, Clean Water, Housing, Medication, Education, Transport and Free and Qualitative Public Services for all.
A world without workers is impossible

Против капиталистического варварства и эксплуатации
В тексте обращения (полный текст на английском языке - на сайте ВФП) говорится:
Рабочие, женщины и мужчины,
Мы празднуем Первое Мая 2011 в критический период. В период агрессивного империализма, антитрудовой политики и в то время, когда глобальная капиталистическая система находится в глубоком и разностороннем экономическом кризисе. Этот кризис проявляется в экономике, окружающей среде, качестве жизни, культуре и изменениях климата. Кризисы находятся в ДНК капитализма, и по этой причине они повторяются снова и снова. Капитализм не в состоянии решить проблемы народов мира.
В восточном Средиземноморье, на Ближнем Востоке, в Северной Африке происходят опасные события, конфликты и соревнование между различными империалистическими составами за нефть Ливии, природный газ стран в Северной Африке и контроль стратегических регионов, богатых сырьем. Мы видим военную агрессию империалистов против Ливии. В Свазиленде правительство отвечало жестокостью на мирные демонстрации его собственных граждан, требующих демократического правительства, чтобы управлять в подлинных интересах всех граждан этой страны...
Далее в обращении говорится о событиях в Алжире, Египте, Тунисе, Бахрейне. Говорится о том, что в США растут безработица и бедность, что
официальный уровень безработицы в США - в настоящее время 9,5% - 10.2 миллиона американцев теперь получают пособия по безработице. Отмечается тревожное положение в странахъ Латинской Америки и в Европе, где
официальный уровень безработицы достиг 9.3 %, а из молодых рабочих в возрасте 15-24 лет безработицей, охвачено 20,7 %.
В обращении говорится также о
решениях 16-го Конгресса ВФП, состоявшегося в Афинах (Греция) 6-10 апреля 2011 г. и заканчивается оно призывами:
За мир без эксплуатации человека человеком!
Да здравствует Первомай трудящихся!
Пролетарии всех стран объединяйтесь!

На фестиваль приглашены политики и музыканты, художники и поэты.

WFTU STATEMENT ON MAY DAY 2011
Workers, women and men,
We honour and celebrate May Day 2011 at a crucial period. At a period of aggressive imperialism, anti-labour policies and at a time when the global capitalist system is in a deep and multifaceted economic crisis of the system itself. This crisis is expressed in all sectors: in the economy, the environment, the quality of life, culture and climate change. Crises are in the DNA of capitalism and for this reason they come over and over again. It is impossible for capitalism to solve the problems of the peoples of the world.
In the eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, the North Africa the dangerous developments, the conflicts and the competition between the various imperialist compounds are targeting the petroleum of Libya, the natural gas of the countries in North Africa and the control of strategic points rich in raw materials. We have seen the military aggression of the imperialists against Libya. In Swaziland the government responded brutally against the peaceful demonstrations by its own citizens, demanding a democratic government to rule in the genuine interests of all the citizens of that country.? In Algeria, the regime showed once again its true face with the state violence used against the demonstration of the Algerian people against the poverty, the rising unemployment and the high prices of the daily essentials, the lack of freedom and the rising oppression. In Egypt, we have seen the people struggling for democracy, freedom and justice against the policy and tactics of the USA, trying to control the developments and to place their new tools, their new puppets in the leadership of the Egyptian State. In Tunisia, the growth goes hand in hand with the complete lack of freedom, the persecution of progressive people and every other voice of contradiction, the poverty, the high unemployment rate, the social injustice and the high prices of the daily essentials.
In the Middle East the torment of the heroic Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian peoples continue by Israel, with the substantial support of the USA, the European Union and its allies. In Bahrain, the government declared a martial law against the people and working class of Bahrain, who are struggling for democracy, freedom and justice and to stop the plundering of the resources of the country by capitalists, kings and emirs.
In Asia the picture is no better: in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, the USA and the European imperialists are continuing their occupation and military operations. The deadly floods in Pakistan and the deadly tsunami in Japan are another proof that the people of the world are unprotected against the natural phenomena, despite the technological breakthrough.
In the USA the situation is also complicated. In North America, unemployment and poverty are growing. The official unemployment rate in the U.S. is currently 9.5% - 10.2 million Americans are now receiving unemployment benefits.
Latin America feels the aggressiveness of North America. Slander and attacks against the heroic Cuban Revolution, attacks against Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, the occupation in Haiti, support for the dictatorship in Honduras. In Colombia, in the last five years, hundreds of trade unionists have been assassinated and the country is being transformed into an American military base. In Chile, the tragic accident occurred at San Jose mine and the crime committed against the miners. In Brazil, the devastating floods caused death to innocent lives.
But also in Europe, capitalism creates and multiplies the problems. Unemployed workers in the countries of the European Union number millions. In Europe, the official unemployment rate has reached 9.3%, with unemployment having risen at 20.7% for young workers between the ages 15-24. Privatizations, the undermining of social security and the reduction of wages and pensions are a common strategy of all the European Governments, both neoliberals and socialdemocrats. The Lisbon Treaty shows the reactionary attitude and the real role of the European Union.
To this policy of the capital and the imperialists, the global working class is responding with initiatives and struggles all over the world. Millions of strikers with the participation of youth, women and migrant workers have provided a new dynamic and fresh hopes.
The WFTU has always been ahead in the front line of struggle! There is no corner of the world where the WFTU has not been present, standing on the side of the weak, always on the side of the peoples, alongside with the working class, in the struggles against capitalist exploitation.
We strengthen the international class-oriented trade union movement on the path indicated by the 16th Congress of WFTU. The decisions of this historic Congress that took place in Athens, Greece on the 6-10 April 2011 open new roads, new horizons and new prospects for the global working class.
During the four days of the congress works that followed,?115 speakers? from the five continents and the basic sectors took the floor. All the acute, contemporary problems of the working people, the poor farmers, the self-employed, the youth, the women, the pensioners and the landless were discussed. Resolutions that strengthen the class-oriented character of the WFTU and aim for the strengthening of the international trade union movement have been voted.
Today WFTU is stronger, more militant, more united, more capable to continue the struggle with class unity and a militant perspective, against the policies of the monopolies and the multinationals that create poverty for the many and big profits for the few. For a World without exploitation from man to man.
Long Live workers May Day!
